This life goes by so quickly and in the blink of an eye our children are half grown and we have forgotten to thank our loved ones for all they do. Take each day and be as grateful as you possibly can for the blessings we have been given that is called "our family" because they are what matters the most in this life.

Me and Dad
My father has recently moved in with us and at first I was very hesitant about this. Having a house full of children and then adding an 85 year old with dementia did take a little bit of getting used to. He has his moments, but I can say that it was the best thing I could have ever done for him. Although he didn't raise me while I was growing up, he is my father and needs to be with family. My children are great with him even though he will ask them the same question about 10 times in a row! We should all remember that we may be in his shoes later in life.
Newest Member of our Family
This is Zoey! She is the newest member of our family (or was the newest member until 1 week ago). We adopted her from the local pound and she has been wonderful. Little did we know that she was pregnant when we brought her home. Now we have three little puppies. One is black, one is brown and the little female looks like her mommy. The children are pretty set on keeping the brown one, but we will have to wait and see about this :)
Reed is a little fish at the pool!
When we went to the pool last year, Reed was not a big fan of swimming. That all changed this past summer and he is not afraid of the water at all. He even went down the slide at Wayne & Elaine's house and also jumped on the water trampoline at the lake with Shannon! What a difference a year can make. Can't wait to see what he will be doing next summer at the pool.

Lauren's Birthday!
Lauren turned 13 on July 31st and we went to the Spaghetti Factory for her birthday dinner. This was her choice and we had a wonderful time. I still can't believe that my "baby" has become a teenager. Seems like yesterday that she was born. The memories of your children being born never seem to fade. She is a wonderful daughter and makes me so proud each day. Most of the time anyway. She is a teenager after all :)

Reed Davis at the Pumpkin Patch!
We took Reed to the Pumpkin Patch to get his "punkins." He picked out several and I think we have about 4 in the house and 5 or 6 outside on the porch! Sissy Lauren bought him one too! He loved going thru the hay maze that was set up and of course loved the tractors. Can't get this child away from a tractor, (he is going to love his birthday present from his Mamaw & Papaw Sherrard)!

Reed's 2nd Birthday coming up!!
Reed Davis will be turning the big 2 years old in less than a week and I can't imagine where the time has gone. It is so amazing to me how fast time really does fly when you have children. Especially five! Boy does that make a day fly by. I wouldn't trade a second of it for anything. It is what I have been put here to do and I know that no matter where I go or what I do, nothing could ever make me as happy as being a mother to each and every one of my children :) Reed is growing like a weed and starting to show his independence. Sometimes that is not such a great thing. He definitely has a mind of his own. Reminds me of his father!!
