Christmas 2008

Reed with his cousin Slade on Christmas at my Mothers.
Christmas this year has been different. We have definately had some challenging events take place in our family, but I truly believe that we have become a closer and stronger family for it. I know that my Father is in a better place and I just remind myself of that each time I find that I am missing him and wanting to see him.

The kids!

I know I have been a slacker with the posting. Have had so much going on lately that it isn't even funny. Here are some newer pictures of the kids on Reed's birthday. I will post his actual birthday pictures soon. :)

My Daddy is the Best

Anyone who has been around Reed at all can tell you that he is a Daddy's boy!

Me and Dad

My father has recently moved in with us and at first I was very hesitant about this. Having a house full of children and then adding an 85 year old with dementia did take a little bit of getting used to. He has his moments, but I can say that it was the best thing I could have ever done for him. Although he didn't raise me while I was growing up, he is my father and needs to be with family. My children are great with him even though he will ask them the same question about 10 times in a row! We should all remember that we may be in his shoes later in life.

Newest Member of our Family

This is Zoey! She is the newest member of our family (or was the newest member until 1 week ago). We adopted her from the local pound and she has been wonderful. Little did we know that she was pregnant when we brought her home. Now we have three little puppies. One is black, one is brown and the little female looks like her mommy. The children are pretty set on keeping the brown one, but we will have to wait and see about this :)

Reed is a little fish at the pool!

When we went to the pool last year, Reed was not a big fan of swimming. That all changed this past summer and he is not afraid of the water at all. He even went down the slide at Wayne & Elaine's house and also jumped on the water trampoline at the lake with Shannon! What a difference a year can make. Can't wait to see what he will be doing next summer at the pool.
